查尔斯•布考斯基（Charles Bukowski，1920-1994），美国诗人。他出生于德国西部小城安德纳赫，三岁时随父母迁居美国。十九岁就读洛杉矶城市学院，大学未毕业就因写“下流”小说被父亲赶出家门，母亲则偷偷给他提供经济援助。他在地下刊物上发表了不少作品，也收到大量退稿信；三十五岁那年，他决定放弃写作，开始了长达十年的浪荡生活，这段生活成为他日后创作的丰富泉源。1994年3月9日，布考斯基因患白血病去世。
